Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to store. Inspecto sets none of its own — this policy exists to tell you exactly what is used instead, and what a third party sets once you consent.

2. What Inspecto itself uses (not cookies)

The Service does not set any first-party cookies. It uses your browser's local storage instead, which works differently — it is never sent to the server automatically the way a cookie is, and there is no CSRF cookie or session cookie in play:

• Login token (local storage) — keeps you logged in between visits. Required for the service to work. Cleared when you log out.
• Cookie choice (local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we don't ask again every visit.

3. Analytics cookies (only after you accept — set by Google, not by us)

We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, general location, device type. Google Analytics, and the cookies it sets, are NOT loaded until you click "Accept" on the cookie banner; if you click "Decline" or close the banner without accepting, Google Analytics never loads and no cookies are set on your device. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your cookie consent in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies or social media pixels, and we do not sell your browsing data.

4. Third-party cookies

Google Analytics, described in Section 3, is the only third party that sets cookies here, and only after you accept. There is no payment page on this site — the inspection is invoiced to you separately — so no payment provider sets cookies on your device.

5. Managing cookies

Since Inspecto sets no cookies of its own, disabling cookies in your browser only affects Google Analytics (if you had accepted it). Clearing your browser's local storage will log you out and reset your cookie choice.

6. Changes

We will update this policy if this changes — for example if we ever start using cookies directly. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
